Day 66 AIM: Why don’t my students show up when it’s raining?

Do Now: You’ve noticed a strange phenomenon during the recent increase in precipitation: There seems to be a correlation between the increased rain and the decreased attendance in your classroom. But why?

Some speculate that students might lack the proper rain attire to come to class. Others will postulate that delays in the trains are too frustrating to deal with (and the puddles, oh the puddles). But we here at the ULOT like to think that the reasons why students don’t come when it’s raining is, simply put, they don’t like to get wet. They’re like cats. And no, we don’t think it’s a very good excuse, but you asked for their excuse, not a good one.
